The Starting Zone is The World of Warcraft Podcast for New and Experienced Players! Hosted by Spencer Downey and Jason Lucas, it includes content for players of all skill and experience levels. So whether you enjoy World of Warcraft raiding, PvP, or are rolling a toon for the very first time, we think you’ll really enjoy The Starting Zone: The World of Warcraft Podcast! The show started in 2009 with co-hosts Jesse Kobayashi and Mick Montgomery sharing helpful tips on how to play World of Warcraft. The show was very popular in its first year cracking the top 20 iTunes podcasts for World of Warcraft while also being featured in the New and Notable section upon its debut! Currently The Starting Zone is the top World of Warcraft podcasts on iTunes and enjoying its largest subscription rate to date!

This week we asked our Patrons "What's your favorite tier set of all time?"

  • Hey Spencer and Jason, I have two questions and wanted to ask before I forgot them. The first one being how do you two feel about content creators/ the people how follow them trashing on WoW excessively? I am not saying all creators/followers are like this but I think some "groups" are just a little too harsh or seem like they just want to start arguments for lack of better words and it really brings me down.

    The second question being on a lighter note, if there was one zone you could pick to live in which one would it be and why?

  • Why did you first choose the current role (healer, tank, dps) you are in and what makes it fun/exciting for you?

  • My question would be if you think we are seeing more of the shift they were doing in 9.15 (respecting players time, more alt friendly) in 9.2?

  • I can't get invited to keys, any suggestions?
  • Set piece drops vs. Tokens. Do you think their newly announced system, including tokens, will provide the bad luck protection, while still allowing teams to progress at the speed they desire?
